Your high school senior portraits should tell a story about who you are and what your life right now is all about.
Usually we use 3-5 different outfits (depending on the session you have selected) so it is a good idea to bring several to choose from. We may not use every outfit you bring.
We enjoy photographing a variety of styles from casual to formal and classic to wild. It is a good idea to have at least one conservative solid color top with sleeves for a classic look.
Some other senior portrait ideas we have seen are a favorite day to day type outfit, prom dress or tux, cap and gown (if you have it) or school or sports uniform.
Don’t forget to bring accessories as well… Shoes, jewelry, hats, hooded sweatshirts, and jackets can all be useful and fun.
We do have a changing room at the studio for you to use, however, keep in mind that if we are on-location we will have to use what is available. If you are not comfortable changing in your vehicle, we recommend bringing outfits that utilize layers to be varied without completely changing (for example wear a tank top under blouses that can be mixed and matched and/or jeans that can go with multiple tops).
In addition to your outfits, feel free to bring any items that you’d like to use to personalize your portraits.
Some examples are: musical instruments, cars, sports equipment, and even pets.
Our goal and expectation for your senior portraits is that the session will be relaxed and fun. We always welcome feedback from both parents and seniors and hope that you will feel comfortable sharing your needs and/or ideas during the session.
