Little Jaxson was born within days of our own little one, so it was especially fun working with his family throughout the process of their maternity session and his newborn session.  I enjoyed sharing the experience with this family, from comparing pregnancy complaints to swapping baby stories!  Wanting to highlight his son’s super-cool middle name (Callaway),  Jaxson’s golf-loving daddy made sure to bring in a Callaway golf ball to incorporate in the portraits.  I love it when we get to make the images personalized!  I had a such great time creating the golf themed set that when the portrait session was finished I knew I had to find a vintage golf club and ball for future sessions, and within a week I had them both!  Thanks A and D for sharing this special time with us AND inspiring a new set!  We hope you’ll share Jaxson with us as he grows!

Now that we’ve had a chance to settle in with our own little one, we are excited to catch up on blogging some of our favorite sessions from the last few months.

We really enjoyed working with this family to document this life-changing time with our Pair session for Maternity and Newborn photography.   Mom was such an amazing pregnancy model….so gorgeous!  When we finally got to meet little (big!) Diego, I completely fell in love with his chunky rolls and intense personality.  It’s like he’s trying to tell us, “Life is serious business!”  And I say, “seriously cute that is!”

We are feeling incredibly blessed to have added our daughter Merit Kathryn to our family on April 11, 2011.  She is a joy!  She has such an easy going temperament and just exudes sweetness.  Cannon is an amazing big brother and has adjusted surprisingly well considering he’s been the absolute center of attention for the last five years!  We are so happy to be able to share some (okay, a bunch!) of our favorite images of Merit and our family from our own Maternity and Newborn Sessions!
